To receive child benefits, the following documents are required:

• Marriage Certificate
• Children’s Birth Certificates
• Certificate on Family Composition
• Employment Contracts
• Residence permit issued by the police (optional)

Child benefits can be claimed retroactively for up to three previous years under the Norwegian limitation period. For this, Employment Contracts dating back up to three years are required.
